Go To Summer Resort Styles

You’ve booked your flights or rented a car, have your accommodation reservations in hand, and are a week away from your summer getaway, but your bag is empty with the exception of your favorite summer reading material and your sun screen. Instead of stuffing it with everything you may wear, stick with some tried and true resort wear styles:

Maxi Dress or Skirt – This style has stood the test of the time and is always a classic choice. The simpler the shape, the easier it is to play around with bright patterns and colors. Long and flowing, the maxi is a go-to staple that’s easy to wear and will turn heads. We recommend the Mauna Loa Dress, an ombré georgette maxi dress with brilliant strokes of color.

Colorful Shift Dress – Simple lines in a dress make looking good effortless. With a breezy style and bright prints, you can’t go wrong. These dresses are the quintessential styles for day-to-night wear. Dress them down with a pair of sandals or dress it up with ornate jewelry and wedges. We recommend the Shifting Sands Dress paired with the Costa Del Sol Sandals and our heritage Southwestern Cross Necklace.

Linen Pants – Relaxed-fit and lightweight, linen pants are always winners. Easily dressed up or dressed down, linen pants can be worn with almost anything. Linen is cooler than cotton and thus better for hot summer weather. And though it can wrinkle easily, some things look better a little wrinkled (no iron on vacation? No problem). When you’re packing, linen pants are easy to ball up, throw into your bag and wear straight out of the bag after you arrive. We recommend our Organia Lace Pants in slate or white.

The Little White Dress – Forget the LBD for summer, the hotter months are all about light and airy colors. It’s easy to throw on a little white dress and dress it up with some chunky sandals and colorful or statement jewelry pieces. We recommend our Sand Dollar Dress with Andelyn Sandals and the Tide Runner Necklace.

Straw Sun Hat – Adventure awaits, and an airy straw hat will accompany you in a classic and carefree fashion. No resort wear is complete without the perfect hat accessory. We recommend our Oriole Straw Hat.

The Perfect Beach Bag – The perfect bag is kind of self-explanatory. It needs to be big enough to carry your towel, sunscreen, water, and other necessities. That’s why we recommend our Bright Star Bag or Mahala Hobo Bag.
