Sundance Artisan Spotlight: Sara Freedenfeld

by - Thursday, June 20, 2019

Well-traveled and globally-inspired, Sundance Artisan Sara Freedenfeld has drawn inspiration from her many travels around the world.

Travels through South America sparked Sara Freedenfeld's passion for making jewelry. In Chile, she learned the art of combining natural elements with intricately knotted string. In Venezuela, she studied with a master to learn how to link and mold metals. Today, her work bears a richly textural, tapestry-like quality with delicate 18kt yellow gold chains interwoven with precious and semi-precious stones, each chosen for its singular, often ethereal beauty.

About her work, Sara noted, "“I am inspired to make pieces for the woman who sees jewelry no differently than the art she displays on the walls of her home. She appreciates beautiful things, but she’s not hungry for symbols of status and wealth.”

A favorite of stylists and collectors, Sara's jewelry beautifully unites high fashion, glamour and sophistication with the pure, natural simplicity of handcrafted artistry. Discover her full collection of jewelry for Sundance here.
