Long-standing Sundance Artisan, Anne Sportun, has a sense of creativity that is driven by her belief in a universal language of shapes and symbols. Finding pure beauty in nature's organic forms, Anne balances the precise with the irregular.

The cover of our Spring Jewelry book features her sparkling Aquamarine Halo Ring. Her halo ring promises timeless elegance and beauty. Anne Sportun interprets the trend, surrounding a shimmering aquamarine with tiny white diamonds.

Anne notes, "For me, there is something magical about the calmness that lies within the color of aquamarine - it is both soothing to the eye and the soul. The source for the name Aquamarine comes from the Latin for seawater, and it was said to calm waves and keep sailors safe at sea."

She continues, "Historical allusions refer to beliefs that the stone could enhance happiness in marriages. Modern belief has it that aquamarine can improve spiritual well being."
