Sundance Artisan Spotlight: Sarah McGuire
Sarah notes about her jewelry, "My goal as a jeweler has always been to create work that feels timeless and special but that you want to wear every day. I strive to create pieces that are deceptively simple, with subtle, unexpected design elements, like intentional asymmetry."
She continues, "Achieving simplicity can be surprisingly complicated, and getting to the point where something is perfectly balanced and effortless-looking, but also thoughtfully detailed, can be a lengthy process. This collection features many of my obsessions: mixed metals, organic shapes interpreted through the lens of modernist design, the texture of antique hammers, and the glimmer of tiny stones. I keep coming back to these elements of my work because I find there’s always something more to explore in them, something new to say through them. I feel incredibly lucky to be able to do what I do."
