Our beautiful, one-of-a-kind sari chairs are made from vintage cotton saris found in the remote areas of India. Each of these unique pieces are handcrafted one at a time. The process of layering two to three pieces of sari fabric over top of each other and stitching them together sometimes takes up to a year to complete.

This handiwork employs rural women and helps to sustain their economic independence, which in turn helps provide an education for their children. At the same time, we seek to preserve a nearly lost hand-stitching craft. Our shared love for textiles and of the old-time techniques and stitching skills creates a functional piece of art that can be in your house for years to come.
